As I write this article, I’m reminded of my years as an early teenager when game reviews on television and in print were legit. Today it seems like all of the great reviews go to the highest bidder, and very undeserving games get high honors *cough CALL OF DUTY MW SERIES cough*. I want to change that. Hell, I AM going to change that. I am going to give reviews for games that are totally unbiased. If the main stream reviewers say that a game is “amazing”, and I think it sucks, I’m going to tell you that it sucks and why. I’ll present videos explaining why you should or shouldn’t buy a particular game (as well as gaming gear) and I’ll be giving away prizes such as gift cards and sweet loot once a month (more about that on another day). However, Zyped is going to be more than just another review site. It’s going to be more of a gamers “experience” if you will. I’m only one guy, I don’t have a team, and I sure as hell don’t get paid for what I do. I love gaming. Hell, I even liked the Dreamcast (c’mon, Shenmue was seriously amazing for it’s time). One thing that I’ve noticed is that gamers don’t just like games. They like sweet gear, movies, comic books, and toys (proud owner of walking dead series one, and I pre-ordered series two already) and I’m going to include all of that. I’ll include coupon codes and sweet deals that I find, as well as just discussion and debate about the gaming community (Mass Effect 3 ending anybody?).
Sooner or later I’ll install an online community in which you the gamers can discuss whatever you’d like, and enter sweet contests. Yeah this site is still in beginning stages (my logo is still being worked on by the way) but it will soon blossom out to be one of the best gaming blogs out there. Why? Because it is different. Why is it different? Because, I’m just an average Joe, albeit a handsome one
, blogging about all of my gaming experiences and the gaming lifestyle in general.
I need something very important though, something that most gaming blogs don’t include. Feedback from the users. I want you to drop me a line on my contact page about what you would like to see and not see on this blog. I will always listen to the user and build for the user, not for a paying company or anything like that. I’m not a sellout, and I never will be. So if you have any ideas or if you would even like to guest blog on Zyped, just drop me a line on the contact page. I’m not like Kratos, I am very friendly indeed. This is your chance to take part in a huge change for the gaming community. Will you be part of it from the beginning?? Hit the share and like buttons to get the word out and let’s change the gaming community forever!
